Team GT tackled Miller Motorsports Park in Toole, UT for Rounds 7&8 of Lucas Oil Off Road Racing (LOORRS) action last weekend. The track presented challenging conditions including ruts and muddy corners, but the General Tire GRABBER was up to the task of providing the grip and performance Team GT needed to post four podium finishes on the weekend.

California-native, Ryan Beat, had a breakout weekend as a first-time team owner, and driver of the No. 51 Lunar Pages Dodge. Slicing and dicing his way through the field, Beat battled Sheldon Creed and Brian Deegan for the Pro-Lite win on Saturday but came up just shy posting a second-place finish. Following his season-high finish, Beat posted a third-place finish during Sunday’s battle royal. Back-to-back podium finishes for the young team with big dreams and high expectations.

“We’re starting to get the truck dialed in and everything is starting to click for us,” said Beat following Saturday’s race. “I’ve got a great team of guys behind me and a great group of sponsors in companies like General Tire and Lunar Pages. We’re just trying to have fun and enjoy ourselves. It’s not every day you can say you race for a living and we don’t take that for granted. We’re ready to get back out there and do it again.”

Not to be outdone, Team GT newcomer, Doug Fortin, posted back-to-back fourth-place finishes in Pro-4 action. Meanwhile, the master, Carl Renezeder, powered his way to a second-place finish in Pro-2 under a green/white/checkered finish. Barely edged out by race winner, Deegan, on Saturday.

Renezeder followed that performance up with a third-place run in Pro-4.

Next stop on the LOORRS circuit is Glen Helen.

Born from competition, all Team GT members utilize the GRABBER tire noted for its extreme traction and exceptional off-road grip and durability.
