General Tire Named Official Tire Supplier of ARCA Beginning in 2016

Today, General Tire in conjunction with the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, announced that General Tire will become the official tire supplier to the ARCA Racing Series beginning in 2016. General Tire celebrated their 100th anniversary in September of this year and are kicking off 100 more years by announcing this multi-year sponsorship. The sponsorship marks General Tire’s entry into stock car racing.

“The General Tire brand celebrated 100 years of innovating tire technology this year and we are proud to continue that tradition in the ARCA Racing Series in 2016,” said Travis Roffler, director of marketing for General Tire. “ARCA produces some fantastic racing and allows us to expose the General brand to a whole new audience of motorsports fans. We’re eager to expand our portfolio and showcase our technologies to such a dedicated audience.”

“We are pleased to welcome General Tire as a corporate partner in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards,” said ARCA president, Ron Drager.

“General Tire’s participation will be evident in many ways, including a broad based activation package with our broadcast partners, race event venues and teams, as well as contributing extensive knowledge and experience in tire manufacturing technology.”

From passenger to light truck tires, General Tire makes anywhere possible on and off the track. General Tire’s racing roots run deep in off-road racing where the GRABBERTM line of tires was, “born from competition”. General’s entry into the stock car arena will allow the brand to showcase their industry-leading tire technologies. An elite team of engineers and product specialists have worked to develop a tire that is durable and provides the performance that professional race teams and drivers demand and have come to trust.

General Tire’s agreement includes the official tire and sole supplier status in the ARCA Racing Series. The robust program also includes a complete television package including commercials, in-car cameras and billboards, as well as at-track activation, race entitlements and track signage programs. At-track service for the teams will remain seamless and General Tire will continue to provide full, first-class support to all ARCA teams.
