Jim Beaver to Take over Social Media Channels for Best in the Desert Vegas to Reno Race

When the Best in the Desert Racing Association returns to action August 15 in Las Vegas for the General Tire Vegas to Reno race, Team GT’s Jim Beaver will take over General Tire’s social media platforms to cover the event from contingency to the finish line.

Fans will be able to interact with Beaver throughout the event by using #JimBeaver on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. A veteran off-road racer, Beaver has competed in over 70 career off-road races, racking up 30 career top-five finishes and 15 career podiums.

Beaver, who races both an unlimited Trick Truck and a Polaris RZR, will compete in the 550-mile race in the Pro Turbo UTV class. One of the fastest-growing divisions in desert racing, over 60 vehicles are expected to race for the class victory. Beaver, who is also an accomplished national radio and television personality, will be competing at this event for the eighth time, but only the second time in a Pro Turbo UTV. Beaver teamed with Travis Pastrana and Jolene Van Vugt of Nitro Circus fame in 2017 in the General Tire-backed Polaris RZR Star Car.

Team GT boasts some of the biggest names across a variety of arenas, including C.J. Hutchins, Beaver, Greg Biffle, Jeff Proctor, Chase Motorsports, Camburg Racing, P.J. Guglielmo, Stan Shelton, Ryan Beat, Christopher Polvoorde, Cory Winner, Skeet Reese, Edwin Evers, Mark Rose, Ott DeFoe, John Crews, Britt Myers, and Bill McDonald. They represent General Tire in the Best in the Desert Racing Series; Major League Fishing; King of the Cage; Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, Late Model Dirt Series, Pro Pulling League, Modified Series, Drag Boat Racing Series and ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series; Expedition Overland; FreestyleMx.com Tour; Zero One Odyssey; and Spec Tire of JeepSpeed.
