Tough Luck For Camburg After Leading in Laughlin on Saturday

On Friday night the rain poured, but Saturday morning the sun rose to start off a beautiful first day of racing in Laughlin, Nevada. The Camburg Racing team took full advantage of the perfect conditions and pulled out in front to lead the Laughlin Desert Classic for almost the entire race...until some terrible luck knocked them back to 12th position just a few miles of the finish line. The Camburg truck was running strong and driver Alex Figge could practically see the finish line when it snagged some bailing wire left on the ground. The wire wrapped around the rear end and damaged the driver’s side, even doing damage to the wheel and brake. The Camburg team was able to repeat some of that incredible driving to improve to 8th in the second half of the Method Race Wheels Laughlin Desert Classic on Sunday.
