The 10th Anniversary edition of the Overland Expo West in Flagstaff, Arizona featured the first year of the General Tire Ultimate Tire Ride & Drive Test Track, where attendees were given the opportunity to test out the latest off-road tires on a custom-designed driving course.
22,000+ attendees from all over the world took part in the three-day event at Fort Tuthill County Park just outside of downtown Flagstaff that featured over 405 registered exhibitors and 330+ classes, seminars, demos, activities, slideshows, and films; totaling over 450 session-hours of instruction.
While many of the classes required the Overland Experience package ticket, the General Tire Ultimate Tire Ride & Drive Test Track was free to all attendees who held a valid driver’s license.
MYE Jeep Rentals out of Sedona, Arizona provided the fleet of Jeep Wrangler Unlimited vehicles mounted with General Tire GRABBER A/TX and GRABBER X3 tires and expert instructors from 7P Overland rode shotgun, guiding attendees over the six-obstacle course.
After completing the course, drivers were able to speak directly with General Tire sales associates to find the proper fitment of the tires they had just driven for their personal vehicle.
General Tire also gave away two free sets of tires following Q&A sessions on Friday and Saturday that featured overlanding experts Clay Croft (Expedition Overland), Weston Miller (Outworld), and Chris Cordes (Expedition Portal).
For those who were unable to attend Overland Expo West, your next chance to try out the latest off-road General tires will be October 11 – 13, 2019 in Arrington, Virginia where the General Tire Ultimate Tire Ride & Drive Test Track will be set up at Overland Expo East.
